Cultivos transgénicos: ¨hacia dónde vamos? Algunos efectos sobre el ambiente, la sociedad y la economía de la nueva “recombinación” tecnológica
Analiza la evolución y los cambios tecnológicos ocurridos en el cultivo de soja, sus características y efectos ambientales; introduce en las técnicas de mejoramiento genético y en el nuevo conocimeinto de la biotecnología, describiendo sus procesos esenciales. Detalla las modalidades alternativas de control de malezas, la siembra directa, el manejo integrado de plagas y sus interacciones con las nuevas sojas RR (resistentes al glifosato). Incluye temas vinculados con la biodiversidad y la bioseguridad. Considera la injerencia en los nuevos ambientes de estos cultivos y sus impactos posibles sobre los centros de origen y diversidad.
Abstract: Analyze the evolution and technological changes that occurred in the cultivation of soybeans, their characteristics and environmental effects; introduces in the techniques of genetic improvement and in the new knowledge of biotechnology, describing its essential processes. It details the alternative methods of weed control, direct sowing, integrated pest management and their interactions with the new RR (glyphosate-resistant) soybeans. It includes topics related to biodiversity and biosafety. It considers the interference in the new environments of these crops and their possible impacts on the centers of origin and diversity.
