GMO Research is compromised of two databases. The primary database contains over 2700 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and open access content. The secondary database contains other reports, such as NGO reports and books, which do not meet the criteria for the main database but are equally important and relevant.
To search the primary database, use the advanced search page to formulate your own search, or go to the Search by Keyword page and click on any of the predefined keyword searches in the list.
There are filters available to help you narrow your search. You must always have Articles checked as the source of the search. There is also the option to limit the scope of your search by type of journal publication or study; or study category. You may select one or more. If you do not select any then the entire database will be searched.
In addition to scope delimiters, you may search for journals/publishing institutions or authors. These options are free form text fields.
Lastly you may specify exact match searches only, search in the title and/or search in the content. When using the search filters please note that exact match searches are case sensitive. For example a search for brazil-nut is not the same as a search for Brazil-nut.
To search the secondary database, use the advanced search page to formulate your own search or click on the Browse Other Reports page for a quick list of reports available.

Please note: If you are only using filters for searching and are leaving the search bar blank, please click on the magnifying glass icon to trigger your search.
If you are viewing our website in a translated language, it is also important to know that our databases are in English so you must search accordingly. Although the display text may be viewed in different languages, the search text must be entered in English. For example, to find any studies containing the English word Quail, you must use the English word and not the translated word.
