Abstract:
Review of myths associated with genetically engineered crops, including discussion of biotechnology, world hunger, and the welfare of farmers; genetically modified crops and human health; biotechnology, agriculture, and the environment (herbicide resistance, creation of superweeds, impact on nontarget organisms); environmental risks of insect-resistant crops (Bt crops); and sustainable alternatives.
